In The Sleeping Beauty ballet, Princess Aurora is cursed by the evil fairy Carabosse to prick her finger on a spindle and die, but the Lilac Fairy alters the curse so she will instead fall into a deep sleep for 100 years. On her 16th birthday, Aurora pricks her finger and the entire kingdom is put to sleep as a forest grows around the castle. A century later, the Lilac Fairy find Carabosse attempting to curse Aurora yet again. After a grueling battle, Aurora is awoken. To celebrate her return to royalty, she host a grand ball with her fairytale friends.
