Sensory-Friendly Evening - Main Street Children’s Museum

Come join us for FREE sensory-friendly evenings on June 23rd from 5-7 p.m. Exclusively for our guests with sensory sensitivities, during these sessions our lights will be turned low and noisy manipulatives, including our air-machine, will be turned off or put away. Juneteenth - Town of Waxhaw

Juneteenth is the oldest nationally celebrated commemoration of the ending of slavery in the United States. This day commemorates African American freedom and emphasizes education and achievement. Hot Wheels Legends Tour Charlotte

The 2026 Hot Wheels Legends Tour rolls into the Charlotte area with a live event on June 20, 2026 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. This epic global contest offers custom car builders the unique opportunity to have their passion projects turned into the next Hot Wheels die-cast toy car. The family-friendly and free event will feature a unique mix of vehicles from across the state, Hot Wheels Garage of Legends life-size cars, and an array of onsite experiences and collectables that are only available on the Tour.

Juneteenth Freedom Quest - Allegra Westbrook Regional Library

Participants will embark on a self-guided or team-based "Freedom Quest" through the library. Using clues hidden throughout the building, they will visit multiple stations that tell the story of Juneteenth, from enslavement to emancipation and the ongoing pursuit of freedom and equality. Participants collect stamps, stickers, or code words at each station. Once all stations are completed, they unlock the final Geocache and receive a commemorative prize.
