A group of civic minded local businessmen are to thank for the birth of the Friday Night Live concert series that soon became a staple of Belmont living. Who doesn't enjoy spending a beautiful Carolina evening in the company of your friends and neighbors listening to music, and dancing the night away? When the Belmont Merchant's Association disbanded and the beloved series was in danger of disappearing, the DBDA stepped up to take the reigns. Over the years, the music may have evolved, but the joy and energy of those lovely spring and summer nights has not. These events are free to attend, bring your lawn chairs or blankets.
