Express Inspire Connect: Ripple Foundation Youth Conference

Ripple Foundation’s Youth Team has launched their annual Express Inspire Connect conference, which will bring students across Canada in grades 8-12 together to discuss how AI is impacting their education and will shape their future working lives.
The conference, to be held virtually on 13 April 2025 from 12pm-4pm, will include sessions on how learning language model systems are built (including the risks of biases and hallucinations), demonstrate how AI-powered chatbots can transform creative writing, and spotlight the ethical challenges of AI.
Tech industry guest speakers will attend, including Tahniat Khan, applied AI project manager and researcher at the Vector Institute in Toronto.
Sessions will also cover how AI can be a useful study companion, helping students craft effective prompts and balance AI tools with human guidance to boost the efficiency of their homework routines.
There will be prizes on offer, kindly donated by sponsors, for students to win, including a year’s subscription to the Walrus Magazine, bestselling titles from Penguin Random House Canada, Indigo gift cards and more. Attendance at the conference is free of charge.
