Children's Day on the Farm

Join us to learn how children lived, worked, and played in the 19th century. There will be two timed sessions for this event. Both sessions will include the same activities.
1st Session- 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
2nd Session- 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.
On-going Activities:
Meet Our Barnyard Animals
Cooking, Plowing, Blacksmithing, and Wookworking Demonstrations
Toys & Games
Butter-churning
Make-and-take activities
Timed Activities:
Feeding the animals with Farmer Eli (10:00, 1:30)
Brattonsville site tours (11:00, 2:30)
Traditional Children’s Races (12:00, 3:30)
Please note that Brattonsville Road will be closed for visitor safety. Please allow additional travel time to follow the posted detour.
- From McConnells Highway (SC-322) turn southbound onto Williamson Road (State Route 560)
- Travel 1.5 miles on Williamson Road and turn right onto Percival Road (State Route 380)
- Travel 2.1 miles on Percival Road to reach Historic Brattonsville
